Sports Premium
The government has been providing funding to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding - provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport - is allocated to primary school head teachers.
This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools.
What we plan to spend this money on to improve PE in our school over a long period of time can be seen below. The key objectives for the funding at Light Oaks Infant School are:
1. Health and Well-Being
2. Raising the profile of PE and sport for whole school improvement
3. Professional Development in PE
4. Increasing the range of sports and activities on offer
5. Competitive Sport
During the 2023/24 school year, Light Oaks Infant School will receive a total of £17,780.
