We have had an excellent start to the summer term at Light Oaks Infants School.
The Early Years Playground has been transformed during the Easter Holidays with a new 'fallen log' climbing and investigation area. There is now a reading shed that we've developed for all our Early Years children to access and we are busy planning updates to our mud kitchen area, as well as lots of other plans too!
Equally, the Key Stage 1 children have been getting to know the different 'zones' we've introduced to encourage focused and collaborative play. The children have enjoyed building bridges and making different structures in the construction zone, using 'small world' people and animals to make a farm, and the 'Craze of the Week' zone has seen children and staff alike perfecting skills such as juggling and using Diablo.
We look forward to an exciting term ahead.
