I have been advised that the report of our recent inspection (21st September 2016) has been finalised and I may now share the outcome with you.

The most recent Inspection report for Light Oaks Infant School can be found in Key Information - Ofsted and DFE Performance Tables.

If any family would like a paper copy, then please let us know and we will provide one.

Here are a few highlights:

'the school continues to be good'

'A caring ethos is evident; you aim to nurture the development of all pupils'

'pupils achieved well in the  end of key stage 1 statutory assessments'

'the outcomes for early years pupils continue to improve over time...the proportion of children who achieved a good level of development was above the 2015 national figure in 2016'

'children in the Nursery and the Reception classes have a stimulating, interesting and safe environment in which to develop their knowledge and skills'

'Parents with whom I spoke and those who completed the online questionnaire have overwhelming praise for the school for its level of care and the impact it has on their children's learning'

'Governors are committed to the continued improvement of the school'

'safeguarding is effective'

'pupils say that they feel safe and teachers help them'

The Inspector was very complimentary about the school and I would thank the children for the part they play on a daily basis in helping to shape Light Oaks Infants as a good school. I would also like to thank staff, governors and parents for their continued support, encouragement and commitment.

We are very pleased with this report which provides recognition for the school's good work alongside areas for development.
